1.1      The SIPpro Rapid Construction System (SPRCS) is an energy-efficient exterior and interior floor, wall and roof structural insulated panel (SIP) system. The SIP panels are a sandwich panel utilising 11mm thick OSB board skins and S grade Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) insulation, bonded using a proprietary PU adhesive that is applied in a factory. The panels are attached to SG8 stress graded top and bottom plates or joists, by way of annular groove nails or scres, and are connected to each other and at corners by way of proprietary spline joint methods.

1.2 The wall panels are supplied in either 115mm or 165mm thickness suited for the construction of a roof truss fixed on top of the top plate caps in accordance with the details shown in the technical and installation manual, or to SED.

1.3 The roof panels are supplied either as 165mm or 215mm thicknesses and can be employed in either gabled or low slope configurations.

1.3 The floor cassettes are supplied at a 165mm thickness and are installed over conventional NZS3604 timber bearers and sub-framing using a proprietary fixing design.

SIP panels may be ordered in different sizes to suit the project within the size limits of the standard panels.

1.5    The SIPpro Rapid Construction System is to be installed by persons trained and approved by SIPSOLUTIONS Ltd, or their agent, within the scope and limitations described in the certificate-holder’s Technical and Installation Manual.
