BEAL is a group of companies based in Plimmerton that provide testing, certification, and research services to the building and residential sector. Clients come from New Zealand, Australia, North America and Europe.

 BEAL have building and technical experts who have many years of practical experience in building work to underake testing, ease of construction assessments and certification work,

BEAL has been providing testing, certification and research services for nearly 20 years to more than 400 clients using the latest test equipment and drawing software.

• Exterior claddings including timber and composite weatherboards, fibre-cement sheet rainscreens, rendered AAC panels,  aluminium composite panels and many more types,

More recently, BEAL have been assessing the structural performance of ‘Structural Insulated Panels’ including wall panels, floor cassettes and roof cassettes for those intending to pre-fabricate their buildings off-site.

A key benefit for using BEAL’s services, is the evaluation of building product ‘prototypes’. Prototypes are often necessary to test the market before the investment of time, money and resources are required for a National launch.

Note that all BEAL test reports and certificates are all covered by a comprehensive Professional Indemnity Insurance policy to provide Users, Councils and the Certificate-holders alike with peace of mind – just in case.
